POBC Panthers Fall 2019 season tryouts

When: 6-9 p.m.

Where: City Center Sports Complex, 4625 City Center Drive

Details: Hosted by Port Orange Baseball Club. Tryouts will be held for the Panther team ages 8U through 14U. 2020 12U boys will be sent to Cooperstown Dreams Park next summer. Registration for tryouts will be open on portorangebaseballclub.com. Contact [email protected]

First-annual Mommy and Me Glamour Day

When: 1-4 p.m.

Where: First United Methodist Church of Port Orange, 305 Dunlawton Ave.

Details: Celebrate life’s sweetest moments with a Mommy and Me glamour day before school starts. Get your nails done, eat sweets and mingle with friends. There will be giveaways, ice cream, face painting and more. To RSVP call or text 404-308-8779.

Tenth Global Big Latch On

When: 10:30 a.m.

Where: Lakeside Community Center, 1999 City Center Circle

Details: This year the goal is to break the current Global Big Latch On record of almost 21,500 children breastfeeding at 778 locations, across 28 countries. Vendors, raffle items, swag bags, and more will be available. Doors open at 10 a.m., be sure to arrive 30 minutes early to register and get settled. End of the Summer Games

When: All day

Where: Port Orange Regional Library, children’s area, 1005 City Center Circle

Details: Stop by the children's room throughout the day to enjoy board games, giant games, and festival games as you celebrate the end of summer. For children in fifth grade and under only.
